AURORA

I have followed this darling mama on Instagram for a while and was obsessed with the gorgeous home they bought in Old Midland and have been drooling over all their renovation posts. So when she reached out to me about newborn photos for their sweet girl, I was THRILLED. When I say their home is a photographer’s dream, I promise I am not exaggerating. I never back down from challenging light situations and I love the shadows and depth that come with darker nurseries, but there is something exhilarating about walking into a white nursery with two walls of windows and beautiful mid century modern decor.

When planning your own newborn photos, keep in mind that the end looks of your photos will have a lot to do with the colors and lighting situation in your home. If you have a dark colored nursery, its much more difficult to get a bright and airy look. (And vice versa! If you want that gorgeous shadowy look, a white nursery is going to be tough!) But never fear! There’s no rule that says we can only shoot in your nursery… guestrooms, sun rooms, and even bathrooms often have spectacular light that makes for gorgeous photos. And if you still don’t think your home will give you the look you want, we now offer lifestyle newborn sessions in our downtown Midland studio!

But enough about that. Let’s just enjoy sweet baby Aurora and her fabulous head of hair!
