When booking a session, its super common for clients to worry about where to have their session because Midland/Odessa isn’t a very traditionally “pretty” area. And its true, we don’t have sweeping mountain vistas or gorgeous beaches, or even green grass for the vast majority of the year. But honestly, its not as bleak as you might think! We actually have some gorgeous areas, and while you might not look twice at them if you were to drive by, they photograph amazingly. Sometimes they require a bit of a drive, or a little hiking through some tall grass, or meeting me someplace that makes you wonder where on earth you are going. If you trust me though, I promise it will be worth it.

Take this gorgeous pregnant mama for example. Sure, we had to pick a few stickers out of her dress afterwards, but this Odessa park was the perfect spot for some dreamy, natural maternity portraits. And that brown grass and bare trees made for the perfect neutral color palette that she was looking for.
